Martin Max (born August 7, 1968 in Tarnowskie Gory, Poland) is a retired German soccer player of polish origin. He began his career in Poland playing for Rodło Górniki Bytom. He then transferred to Germany, where he played as a striker, scoring 126 goals in 396 matches in the Bundesliga for Borussia Mönchengladbach, Schalke 04, TSV 1860 Munich and Hansa Rostock. Scoring 20 goals in his final season, he was forced to retire due to the excessive toll on his body while playing 15 years of top flight football.

Max is the 22nd all-time leading scorer in the German Bundesliga. He earned his only cap for Germany on April 17, 2002, coming on as a substitute during the 84th minute in a 1-0 loss versus Argentina. He currently runs a soccer camp for youths.
