Martin Ferguson (football scout)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Martin Ferguson is a Scottish football scout who currently works for Manchester United. Ferguson is the brother of the current Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson. He is Manchester United's chief European scout, and as such he is often sent to scout for talented players in mainland Europe.

Ferguson previously worked as a coach at Hibernian, but was sacked in 1997.[1] He was then signed by Manchester United on the recommendation of Sir Alex, and has since scouted players such as Diego Forlán,[1] Anderson,[2] Fabio Quagliarella,[3] Alessandro Nesta[4] and Ruud van Nistelrooy.[5]
