Marston is a full-service engineering and consulting firm that provides services to mining companies, utilities and governmental agencies.

The company was formed by in 1977 by Don Marston, a consultant in the Canadian and American coal industries and his older brother William Thomas Marston who later left the company. The company was first formed in St. Louis. At this date Richard Marston now runs Marston & Marston and the company's main activity is in coal, oil sands, industrial minerals, gold, electric power generation, geologic services, software and finance.

In 1982 Marston purchased a supercomputer and a suite of attendant geology and mining software.
