Marshall Professor of French Language and Literature, Glasgow

The Marshall Chair of Modern Romance Languages is a professorship at the University of Glasgow.
A lectureship had been instituted in 1895, and a chair with special reference to the language and literature of France was founded in 1917. It was endowed by Robert Marshall, James Clason-Harvie and others. Its title was changed to the Marshall Chair of French Language and Literature in 1966.
