Marseille Genocide Memorial

The Marseille Memorial is a bronze statue commemorating the deaths of 1.5 million Armenians in Ottoman Empire during the Armenian Genocide in 1915. The monument was erected in 2002 in France. On October 14, 2006 it was reported that the monument was stolen.[1]
France has a large Armenian community, with up to 500,000 people of Armenian descent.
There are more than 30 memorials to Armenian victims across France.
