Marronnier Park (Hangul: 마로니에 공원) is a park in the Daehangno area of Seoul.
At the center is a horse chestnut (marronnier) tree, of the genus Aesculus.

Marronnier is tall tree originated from Mediterranean Sea. It is quite common in France and Italy to grow Marronnier trees as roadside trees. From May to June, red or white flowers bloom.
The park opened for Seoulites to enjoy artistic culture. It is located in the seat of former Seoul National University. Because of growing Marronnier, the name of the park is Marronnier.[1]

The park is not that huge but its charicteristic lies within its culture. Because theatres for dramas and comics are very popular, it is main course for couples.
Daehangno which is the right place for university alumni is located here so lots of people are crowded.
Additionally, lots of restaurants are common from Korean to Italian and Arabic.
