Married Life (working title: Marriage) is drama film directed by Ira Sachs. The film is based on the 1953 John Bingham pulp mystery novel, Five Roundabouts to Heaven. The cast includes Chris Cooper, Pierce Brosnan, Patricia Clarkson and Rachel McAdams. The story is set in an unnamed Pacific Coast city in 1949.[1] The MPAA rated the film PG-13 for some thematic elements and a scene of sexuality.[2]

The film received mixed to generally favorable reviews from critics. As of March 7, 2008, the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported that 56% of critics gave the film positive reviews, based on 25 reviews.[5] Metacritic reported the film had an average score of 66 out of 100, based on 7 reviews.[6]
