Marreese Speights is a member of the University of Florida men's basketball team. Also, he won the NCAA National Championship in 2007.
Speights is the current starting center for the Florida men's basketball team. He began his career at Florida in 2006, and averaged approximately four points and two rebounds in only six minutes per game as a freshman for the national champion Gators.
He played basketball at Admiral Farragut where they retired his jersey number after just one year. He also played basketball at Hargrave Military Academy.
Marreese ended his 07-08 season averaging 14.5 points, 8.1 rebounds per game and 1.4 blocks per game. After his sophomore season, Marreese declared himself eligible for the 2008 NBA Draft.[1]
