[edit] History

Marquis Jet Partners, Inc. was founded by Kenny Dichter and Jesse Itzler in June 2001. Marquis Jet Partners, Inc. established the first jet card program of its kind providing clients access to NetJets fleet without having to enter into a long-term ownership program. In the Marquis Jet Card program NetJets operates the flights under the FAR Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate.[1]

The NetJets program, introduced in 1986, pioneered the concept of fractional aircraft ownership. In 1998 Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway purchased NetJets.

The Marquis Jet Card represents a sublease of a NetJets fractional share aircraft. The Marquis Jet Card program offers a physical card which is sold as a prepaid lease, offering 25 hours of occupied flight time.
