The Maroochydore railway line (or CAMCOS, Caloundra and Maroochydore Corridor Options Study), is a proposed single track QR Citytrain railway line due for construction and progressive completion in stages between 2015 and 2020.

The line is expected to branch from the existing North Coast Line at Beerwah Station with completion to Caloundra by 2015, and Maroochydore by 2020.[1]

The North Coast Line is being realigned and upgraded with a second track between Caboolture and Landsborough stations to enable higher capacity for the line to accommodate Maroochydore trains, to improve the reliability of existing freight and commuter services,[2] and reduce running times.

In July 2007 the City of Caloundra and Queensland Government commissioned a study into the realignment of the proposed corridor in Caloundra South. It is proposed the corridor be altered to run west of Golden Beach, and through the Caloundra Aerodrome site.[3]
