A marla is a unit of area.

The marla is a traditional unit of area in Pakistan and India. The marla was standardized under British rule to be equal to the square rod, or 272.25 square feet, 30.25 square yards, or 25.2929 square metres.

It is used in countries such as India and Pakistan. A 5 marla residential plot is equal to 125 metre square plot.
