Markel Susaeta Laskurain (born December 14, 1987 in Eibar) is a Basque midfielder playing for Athletic Bilbao in La Liga.

Coming through the ranks of Athletic, he was given his debut on September 2, 2007, away at FC Barcelona, managing to score in a 3-1 loss. At the start of the 2007-08 season he was also registered for Athletic's B team, Bilbao Athletic, who currently plays in the Segunda División B.
