Mark Williams ZNZ is the 1990 follow up to Mark Williams first Australian album Life After Dark, the albums being released 10 years apart. Gone was the silky voice, it was a completely different sounding Mark and the album proved to be far more commercially accessible than it's predecessor spawning the hit single Show no Mercy, his most recognizable and well known song of his career. The song reached number 9 on the Australian charts and was chosen to launch the 1990 Rugby League Grand Final. The single gave him unprecedented national exposure and went platinum.
The album reached number 44 on the National Australian Charts and a second single "Fix Of Love"/"Your Love" was also released but didn't fare so well, only getting to number 37. A third and final single "Spell Is Broken"/"Fool No More" never even got to the charts.
