Mark W. Izard

Mark Whitaker Izard (b. December 25th, 1799 – b. 1866) was an Arkansas democrat politician is best known for being the 3rd Governor of the Nebraska Territory . He was a member of both the Arkansas state senate and house and a delegate to the Arkansas state constitutional in 1836. He became the governor of the Nebraska Territory in 1855 to 1857. He died in 1866 and is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in North Omaha.
