Stolzenberg is credited with bringing mime and clowning up to date as acting forms. His ideas are that entire theater plays can be performed in mime. He stresses that its not the makeup nor the costume but the clown who conveys the emotion. Stolzenberg is called upon by major commercial houses to help actors in closeups for product sales, and he teaches at the New York New School.
