Mark Stevens (writer)

Mark Stevens, (born June 3, 1947 in Queens, New York, U.S.) is an author and media commentator on the intersection of business and private life.

Stevens is the author of more than 20 business-related books including “The Big Eight”, “King Icahn” and “Sudden Death: The Rise and Fall of EF Hutton” (a Wall Street Journal bestseller and Library Journal “Business Book of the Year”). He shook the marketing establishment with his Business Week best seller, “Your Marketing Sucks” (Crown Business, 2003), and redefined the rules of business management with “Your Management Sucks” (Crown Business, 2006). “God Is A Salesman” (Warner Faith) was published in 2008.

Stevens is a corporate speaker and a frequent guest commentator on Fox News “The Big Story with John Gibson" and The New York Post/Page Six. His blog, “Unconventional Thinking” is in the top 1% of all published blogs (out of 72 million blogs).[citation needed]

Stevens is founder and CEO of MSCO, a global marketing firm specializing in strategy and integrated marketing solutions for such clients as Nike, Starwood, GE, Guardian Life, Intrawest, Estee Lauder and many others.

Stevens was the writer of a nationally syndicated column Small Business, for which he was bestowed a John Hancock Award for "outstanding financial journalism, lucid reporting and excellent interpretation of the nation's business."[1]
