Mark Stein (musician)

Mark Stein (born March 11, 1947) was the vocalist, keyboardist, composer, and arranger from Vanilla Fudge, The Tommy Bolin Band and Alice Cooper's band (from 1978-1979).

Mark Stein was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on March 11, 1947. He began playing piano at age four, later attempted the accordion and, upon being exposed to rock 'n' roll in the '50s, settled on guitar. He worked his way through various high school bands. While performing with one of these pre-Vanilla Fudge groups, he spied an "old beat-up organ on the stage and started jamming on it."
