Mark Slade (also known as Frank Towers and Ted Hunter) (born June 15, 1968) is a world-famous and popular pornographic actor (porn star) from the United States. Frank Towers/Mark Slade got his start originally in the heterosexual porn industry. An encounter with international icon Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1986 changed his life. At the time, he was a self-described spindly 150-pound weakling. Inspired by Arnie, he embarked on a rigorous bodybuilding regimen that had his 6 ft 4 in frame filled out to 240 pounds within a few years. His well-honed muscles of steel and fantastic physique served him well once he decided to take the porn plunge in 1993.

In 1998, he made his first gay film appearance with a solo masturbation scene in Billy 2000 under the name Mark Slade. He then went on to sign an exclusive contract with Studio 2000 and starred in West Hollywood Hope in 1998. He followed that with Cadet. He also appeared in the big-budget bisexual videos Semper Bi and Bi American. Notably, in interviews given during this time period, actor Mark Slade identified multiple times as being forthrightly bisexual in his private life. He dates both men and women. He found that he was treated very well in the gay porn world and was surprised at how stringent and well-enforced the safe sex practices were on the movie set.

An excellent actor with legions of fans, he wanted to perform in both straight and gay genres but found that crossing lines was more than a little confusing for most porn directors and producers. Most straight studios simply would not work with him anymore, out of bigotry. He has since left the gay film world and once again rejoined the heterosexual adult movie industry under the name Ted Hunter. He's performed in numerous videos as Ted Hunter, particularly in the Interracial video series Black Panty Chronicles. According to his profile at the Internet Adult Film Database (IAFD), he has appeared in more than 300 films. As Frank Towers, he has formed his own production company, "Frank Towers Productions", and directed that company's well-received 2004 release, Nasty Tales.
