Mark Santer

Mark Santer was an Anglican Bishop in the last decades of the 20th Century and the very early part of the 21st[1]. Born in 1966 he was educated at Marlborough and Queens’ College, Cambridge before Ordination in 1964[2]. Santer’s was to be an academic career:Assistant Curate, then Tutor at Cuddesdon; Dean and Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge; Assistant Lecturer in Divinity at Cambridge and finally Principal of Westcott House [3] before elevation to the Episcopate in 1981. After six years at Kensington, [4] he was translated to Birmingham [5]. In retirement he served as an Assistant Bishop at Worcester
