Mark Rubinstein

Mark Edward Rubinstein is the Paul Stephens Professor of Applied Investment Analysis at the Haas School of Business of the University of California, Berkeley.

He is a leading finance academic, focusing on derivatives, particularly options, and is probably best known for his work on the binomial options pricing model (also known as the Cox-Ross-Rubinstein model). In 1993, he served as President of the American Finance Association. In 1995, he was named International Association of Financial Engineers' Financial Engineer of the Year.

Professor Rubinstein holds a BA in economics from Harvard University, an MBA in finance from Stanford University, and a PhD in finance from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently involved in teaching courses in the Berkeley MFE program, a technically focused program through the Haas School of Buinsess, that is focused on equiping candidates with quant skills.
