'Mark David Rosenthal is an American screenwriter and film director and long-time writing partner of Lawrence Konner. Featured in WHY WE WRITE: PORTRAITS OF 25 TOP SCREENWRITERS, Mark Rosenthal has been a highly respected Hollywood screenwriter for twenty-five years. In addition to his active career in the film world, he has lectured extensively at film classes, seminars and universities and worked with numerous arts organizations. He is an active supporter of progressive causes. He has also had a tele-documentary made about his career by the La Salle College communications department and is currently teaching a seminar in advanced screenwriting at the University of Pennsylvania.
Rosenthal directed and co-wrote (with Konner) The In Crowd (1988) which introduced Christian Slater and Helen Slater.
Mark Rosenthal (with his partner Lawrence Konner) are presently writing THE A TEAM for FOX and THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE for Nicholas Cage at Disney.

Mark recorded a DVD commentary for Superman IV: The Quest for Peace for the Deluxe Edition of the film in 2006. Here he reveals what the films original intentions were supposed to be, the many deleted scenes and was highly praised by Superman fans.
