Mark Lewis was born on 28th January 1973.
Mark is a professional mountaineer. He has been climbing for over 18yrs. During that time he has attempted the seven summits (the highest peak in each continent). In 1997, his patron during this expedition was Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE. He has kept close contact with Ranulph Fiennes ever since with Ran being one of his biggest supporters and backers over the years.
The mountains that he has climbed are;
Vinson Massif - Antarctica - He was the youngest Briton to summit this peak in 1997. He was also the first Welsh man to climb this mountain.
Mount Elbrus - Russia, Europe.
Kilimanjaro - Tanzania, Africa
Mt Cook - New Zealand
Ama Dablam - Nepal, Asia
Everest - Nepal, Asia
Puncak Jaya - New Guinea, Austrailasia
Broad Peak - Pakistan, Asia
Aconcagua - Argentina, South America
Denali - Alaska, North America
Kangchenjunga and Ramtang - Pakistan, Asia
Mark mainly works with local charities such as Tenovus, The Welsh Independent Society of Climbing & Mountaineering [1].
Mark has had many articles in South Wales Echo, The Guardian and The Western Mail.

Mark Lewis is currently heading up the VS Challenge. This is a challenge to climb all the VS Graded climbing routes in South Wales.
