Mark Hunter (born May 26, 1977) is the lead vocalist and songwriter for the metal band Chimaira. Hunter co-founded the band with original Chimaira guitarist Jason Hager. He also produced The Impossibility of Reason with the help of Rob Arnold, and co-produced the album Chimaira with Ben Schigel. He is 6'1".
Hunter's lyrics deal with personal experiences along with some songs about movies. On The Impossibility of Reason he sings about the movie The Shining on the track "Pictures In The Gold Room" on Chimaira the song "Bloodlust" is based on the movie for American Psycho
Although not mentioned in the album inlay credits, he has played guitar for all Chimaira releases to date.

Mark Hunter also was the guitarist and vocalist for Cleveland hardcore band Skipline along with producer Ben Schigel and bassist Jim LaMarca. LaMarca also plays bass for Hunter's "Stoner Rock" band High Point. Hunter also has a joke power metal band with Ben Schigel and Andols Herrick named "The Demonic Knights Of Aberosh"

- Mark has played guitar on stage with the band many times, 2 shows in particular were in Ireland after guitarist Matt DeVries was unable to perform due to being injured.
- Hunter has missed one show in the history of the band due to the death of his grandmother. The show was in Detroit at Harpos. The singers of God Forbid and Hate Eternal filled in along with band keyboardist Chris Spicuzza.
- Hunter is a huge movie lover and owns thousands of DVDs.
- Mark wrote the bands last two video concepts for Nothing Remains and Save Ourselves.
- Hunter's favorite band is Nine Inch Nails.
- Hunter contributed to the vocals in the song "The Enemy" on the Roadrunner United album on Roadrunner Records.
- Hunter's engagement to his high school sweetheart was recently called off.
- He has received the nickname 'Metal Moses' because of his encouragement in making walls of death, like the red sea parting and then crashing in again.
- Hunter did backing vocals on "In the Face of the Faceless" by Forever in Terror on the album Restless in the Tides.
