Mark Harris (politician)

Mark Harris (born December 14, 1984) is a U.S. politician based out of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Harris is one of the nation's youngest politicians, and won fame in May of 2006 when he beat a five-term incumbent in a district Republican primary for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Harris is notable for both his youth and his web-based campaigning. Prior to running for office, Harris worked as a blogger and technology consultant. While at George Washington University, Harris created the site, www.savethegop.com, and was active in Young Conservatives in Pennsylvania. He has also worked for the political campaigns of Pat Toomey and Herman Cain. After the election Mark served as National Director for Students for Saving Social Security through May of 2007. Mark most recently served as Deputy Campaign Manager for Jim Ogonowski's special election campaign in the Massachusetts 5th Congressional District. Mark is currently serving as the Campaign Manager for Chris Hackett's campaign for Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District.
