Mark Haines (born April 19, 1946) is the former host of the CNBC show Squawk Box. Haines now appears on Squawk on the Street (which airs from 9-11am ET), which he co-hosts, along with Erin Burnett. Squawk on the Street was expanded from one hour to two on July 19, 2007, when then co-anchor Liz Claman of the highly popular Morning Call abruptly left to co-anchor Fox Business on the Fox Business Network alongside co-anchor David Asman.
Mark Haines was the very memorable on air host for CNBC during the World Trade Center Terrorist Attack on September 11, 2001.
Haines grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey, and now resides in Monmouth county, New Jersey.[1] he attended Denison University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School and is a member of the New Jersey bar association.
