Mark Hackett

Mark Hackett is a Northern Ireland architect and a past member of the RSUA Council.
Having previous experience with Belfast-based practice Mackel & Doherty Architects, he set up a private practice with Alastair Hall following their successful entry for the Lyric Theatre design competition, which shared first prize with the entry by O'Donnell & Tuomey. In 2006, Hackett-Hall won an RIBA Award for Triplicate Design Offices.
Other important works include reception spaces at the Belfast House of Sport, fit-out of Deane's Deli, Belfast and a commission for the RSUA offices .
Until 2004, he was active in architectural education, tutoring in the BSc course at the Queen's University of Belfast and later in the University of Ulster.
He took his BSc at Queen's, before taking his Diploma at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow, where he was awarded various prizes.
