Mark Giordano (born October 3, 1983 in Toronto, Ontario) and went to Chaminade College School is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays for Moscow Dynamo of the Russian Super League.[1]
[edit] Playing career
Giordano was not drafted in the NHL, but was signed as a free agent by the Flames in 2004. Giordano earned his first call-up to the NHL in 2005-06, playing seven games. He scored his first two NHL goal's in his hometown of Toronto on October 14, 2006. On August 28, 2007, Giordano rejected a two-way contract with the Flames to sign on with Moscow Dynamo in Russia. Giordano recently agreed a three year one-way deal with the Flames. [2]
Giordano currently holds the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights record for most assists and points with 42 and 58, respectively, both obtained in the 2005-06 season.
Giordano did play for Team Canada in the 2007 Spengler Cup.
