Mark Evans Austad

Mark Evans Austad served under the Ford administration as United States Ambassador to Finland and under the Reagan administration as U.S. Ambassador to Norway.
Austad was born in Ogden, Utah. He served a mission to Norway just prior to the 2nd World War for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Prior to his service as an ambassador, he was in broadcasting. He started with KSL in Salt Lake City and latter became connected with CBS in Washington.
