Mark R. Dzenick (born 1961) is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Olympic Spirit Group, officially licensed by the International Olympic Committee to design, develop and manage Olympic-themed entertainment and education centers around the world. Olympic Spirit is the recipient of the 2006 Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement - Branded Visitor Center - the "Academy Awards" of the Entertainment industry, presented by TEA, the international non-profit association representing the world's leading creators, developers, designers and producers of compelling places and experiences.[1]
He is a former marketing manager, business development of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)[2], assisting former IOC vice-president Dick Pound and former IOC marketing director Michael Payne in the negotiation and management of television, sponsorship and other revenue-generating activities of the Olympic Movement, as well as with the marketing plans and programs of Olympic Games Organizing Committees.
Prior to joining the International Olympic Committee, he practised law with Bennett Jones, a major Canadian firm based in Calgary. Mark is a graduate of the University of Alberta and played on the U of A football team that won the National Championship (Canadian College Bowl) in 1980 and the Western Bowl in 1981.
He lives with his wife and three daughters near Geneva, Switzerland.
