Mark Connelly was a actor and a writer in the 1920s and 1930s. He was nominated for an Oscar Award for Best Writing of a Screenplay for Captains Courageous (1937). He was also nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Teleplay Writing - One Hour or More for: The Green Pastures (1957). He also starred in Actors Studio, which was a television series that aired from 1948-1950.
