Mark Andrew Smith is an American comic book writer, best known as the co-creator of the Amazing Joy Buzzards with artist Dan Hipp.

Mark Andrew Smith was born July 24th, 1979. He attended UC Santa Barbara's Film Studies department and graduated with a bachelors of arts in 2002. His first job after graduating University was working on American Idol the first season. He's been published in the Belle & Sebastian Anthology from Image Comics, 24Seven Vol. 1, Paper Museum Vol. 3, Space Doubles, and is the co-creator and editor of the Popgun comics anthology with Joe Keatinge.[1]

He wrote Aqua Leung, drawn by artist Paul Maybury, that was published in April 2008.[2] [3] His latest project is Kill All Parents also for Image Comics,'[4] [5]
