Mark Adlard (Peter Marcus Adlard, 1932-, Hartlepool) is an English science fiction writer whose best known works are Interface, Volteface, and MultiFace. Written in the early 1970s and set in the near future, the novels concern Tcity, a fictional domed megacity covering the entirety of the English North Eastern industrial belt between the River Tyne and the River Tees.
1978 Mark Adlard wrote "The Greenlander" a fictional account of the whaling industry in north east England back in the early days of steam. This was intended to be the first in a series but book two is a long time coming.
