Marjie Millar

Marjie Millar (August 10, 1931-April 16, 1966), was an American television and film actress. She was a blond who only played a small number of second lead roles. She graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma in 1950 and from Stephens College Missouri. She was married to director John Florea (1954-1957), to author John McCallum (sports writer) (1961-?) and to U.S. Navy officer Charles Candoo (?-death). She appeared in the television shows Dragnet (in 1956), The Millionaire and The Ray Bolger Show (aka Where's Raymond). Her biggest role was as Dean Martin's love interest in the 1953 Martin and Lewis film Money from Home.
A 1957 auto accident on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles left her disabled and forced her to end her film and television career. She divorced and moved back to her hometown of Tacoma, Washington and ran a dance school. She died in San Diego, California in 1966 as a result of complications after 16 surgeries on her injured legs.
