Marius Jonker

Marius Jonker (born 19 June 1969 in Kimberley, Northern Cape) is a South African international rugby union referee, as well as a Super 14 and Currie Cup referee. He is one of South Africa's top rugby referees, and refereed at the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France.
Jonker took up playing rugby while at school, and continued to play at fly-half for Richards Bay while holding down a career in the police force.
Since taking up refereeing in 2006, Jonker has officiated numerous international matches including mid-year Tests and the IRB Pacific 5 Nations series. Jonker, along with Wayne Barnes of England and Nigel Owens of Wales, made his Rugby World Cup debut at the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France.
Jonker now works as a loss control manager for Bell Equipment in Richards Bay, where he lives with his wife, Belinda, and their children, Rynhardt and Brenda.
