Maritzburg United is a South African football (soccer) club based in the city of Pietermaritzburg that currently competes in the National First Division, Coastal Stream. During the 2005-06 season Maritzburg United bought Tembisa Classic's franchise to become part of the Premier Soccer League. They were relegated to the National First Division after the 06/07 season.
