[edit] The Vampire
Marishka is a fictional vampire and is Count Dracula's second oldest bride in the movie Van Helsing. She was portrayed by Josie Maran.
[edit] Background
Not much is known about Marishka's background except for the fact that she is Dracula's second oldest bride. In 1887, Dracula attempted to persuade Dr. Victor Frankenstein to create a creature capable of giving their children lasting life as he was "The Key". This is when her children were given the chance for survival after many attempts. The monster supposedly died under burning rubble which caused Marishka and the other brides to scream out in grief. One year later, Marishka and the other two brides meet up with Van Helsing in which Marishka has a prolonged battle with him. She and the other of Dracula's wives came in an overcast daytime to finish off Anna. Verona tells Marishka to finish off Van Helsing but she continues to toy around with him. Finally, Van Helsing manages to grab his crossbow in which he dips it in Holy water and shoots up Marishka, killing her.
[edit] Powers and Abilities
Being an essentially-immortal vampire, Marishka possessed many extraordinary abilities. She possessed an immediate healing factor as well as the ability to change into an anthropomorphic bat. As this demonic creature, her skin became grayish-white and she also gained wings capable of sustained flight.
