Marion Stein

Marion Donata Stein (born 18 October 1926) is an Austrian concert pianist and, as a former Countess of Harewood, is also a former member of the British Royal Family.
She was born in Vienna in 1926, as Maria Donata Nanetta Paulina Gustava Erwina Wilhelmine Stein, the daughter of the musician Erwin Stein. She herself led a distinguished musical career and was joint founder in 1961 (along with Fanny Waterman) of the Leeds International Piano Competition.
She has married twice, both times to prominent public figures:
- 1) George Lascelles, 7th Earl of Harewood on 29 September 1949. Lord Harewood, son of Mary, Princess Royal (1897-1965) was the grandson of King George V, the nephew of his mother's brothers, King Edward VIII and of King George VI and the cousin of Queen Elizabeth II. The marriage was dissolved in 1967. They had three sons:
