Marion Ramsey

Marion Ramsey (b. May 10, 1947) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is an American actress. She was a regular on the series "Cos" but is best known for her role as the timid Officer Laverne Hooks in the Police Academy movies. Recently she has also appeared in the films "Recipe for Disaster" and "Return to Babylon".

Ramsey wore a fat suit for her role as Sgt. Laverne Hooks in the Police Academy movies. Originally, the plan was for her character to get thinner as the movies progressed, but the producers later decided not to go through with it.
