Mario Marceé West (born June 19, 1984, in Huntsville, Alabama) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. He is known for great hustle and defensive presence. He was not drafted by the Hawks but later signed after the 2007 NBA Draft.[1]

West was a Douglas County player of the year as a senior at Douglas County High School. He also earned honorable mention all-state honors after averaging 22 points and 10 rebounds a game. Mario was team captain during his junior and his senior year.

Mario went to Georgia Tech and joined as a walk on his freshman year and red-shirted. He was named a team captain just before his senior season started.
Won the 2007 college slam dunk championship.
Mario also has a college degree in Business Management and Economics.
Mario West was also drafted to the Harlem Globetrotters
