- See also: Mario Kart#Playable characters
Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 includes thirteen playable characters, including two new playable characters, which are Waluigi and Bandai's Mametchi.
Other characters are not playable but they do make small cameos.[citation needed]
[edit] Karts
The game uses the same karts as the first. They allow unlockable content to be accessed in the game to give the player an advantage in items or karts or characters. The karts are also used outside of Japan and aren't disabled in UK machines.
[edit] Reception
Play magazine gave a 7.5 out of 10, praising for the courses backgrounds, multiplayer, and graphics.
