Mario Fenech (nicknamed "The Maltese Falcon", or "Muzza") is a Maltese-Australian rugby league personality. He is a former player of the game and a regular guest on The Footy Show.

Mario's favoured position was Hooker, where he represented NSW, however in his later career he moved into the Prop-forward role. He captained the Rabbitohs from 1986 to 1990. Son of Albert and Doris Fenech, Mario grew up playing footy. His compassion, commitment and loyalty to the game is what made him a truly memorable player. In 1992, Mario married Rebecca Fenech, and then had two children, Joe Fenech born on the 9th Feb 92 and Bonnie Fenech born on the 14 Aug 96. Family is everything to Mario, which is the attitude he gave when it came to his team. Mario kicked off his career 1981, and ended it in 1995, 14 years in the game. He played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs from 1981 to 1990. From 1986 to 1990, he captained the team. In 1991, he moved to the North Sydney Bears and played for them until 1994. In 1995, he ended his career with the South Queensland Crushers, playing his final games. He makes regular appearances on the footy show. Mario had a truly remarkable career and should be remembered as a South Sydney Legend and a great player.

Since Mario retired from football he has been involved in the entertainment industry. In 2001 his book What's Doing? was published. He has been a regular contributor on The Footy Show, appeared on numerous other TV shows, including Pizza, and made a brief cameo in the rugby league-based film Footy Legends.
