Mario Gutiérrez Cotelo (born 10 February 1975 in Langreo) is a Spanish professional football (soccer) player. He is a midfielder and currently plays for Getafe CF.
Cotelo began his career at Sporting de Gijón and played for their B team in the 1993-94 season. He then spent a season in the senior team, playing just five matches before getting sent back to the B team.
In the 1996-97 season Cotelo started in Sporting's A team, but spent the second half of the season at CD Badajoz. After four full seasons at Sporting he moved to Sevilla FC but played only five league games before a transfer to UD Las Palmas.
Segunda División Getafe signed him in 2003, and he was a key player as the club won promotion in 2004. Cotelo has played more than 30 games in each of Getafe's two subsequent seasons in the Primera División.
