Mario Đurovski's birthplace is Skopje, the capital of the Republic of Macedonia which, until September 1991, had been one of the republics of Yugoslavia. He was three months short of his sixth birthday when Macedonia became independent, but by the age of fourteen in 2000, made his debut for FK Vardar, subsequently transferred to Rennes in France and then made the move to FK Bežanija in 2005. In 2007 he joined FK Vojvodina.
