Marinduque Airport (IATA: MRQ, ICAO: RPUW) is the only airport located on and serving the island province of Marinduque in the Philippines. The airport is located in Barangay Masiga in the town of Gasan, near the border with the provincial capital, Boac. It is classified as a secondary airport by the Air Transportation Office, a body of the Department of Transportation and Communications that is responsible for the operations of not only this airport but also of all other airports in the Philippines except the major international airports.
[edit] Airlines
No airlines presently serve Marinduque Airport. Asian Spirit and Philippine Airlines served the airport in the past from Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, but have since dropped the route. Light aircraft can also make use of the facilities.
