Marien Ngouabi University

Marien Ngouabi University (UMNG) is the only state-funded university in the Republic of Congo[1]. It is located in the capital of Brazzaville.

The University of Brazzaville was founded in 1971 amidst desires to assert the country's soverignty. Following the assassination of President Marien Ngouabi in 1977, the university was named in his honor.
