Mariano Yogore

Dr. Mariano G. Yogore, Jr. (1921–2006) was a Full Professor in the University of Chicago Dept. of Microbiology beginning in 1959 and also Professor and head of Institute of Public Health at the University of the Philippines. He also had held the position of Research Associate and Professor in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Cellular Biology at Univ. of Chicago.
He received a Master of Public Health (1948) and Doctor of Public Health (1957) degree from Johns Hopkins University, and held a World Health Organization Fellowship (1954), and a USPHS Post Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Chicago Dept. of Microbiology.
He was a member of several several honor societies and professional organizations, and listed as Philippine Man of Science (1964) and American Men and Women of Science No. 1218.
He was senior author and co-author in about 50 scientific publications, and published a number of books. Published in Library of Congress
