Marianas Trench is a Canadian pop punk band from Vancouver, British Columbia signed to 604 Records. The band released their first full length album Fix Me on October 3, 2006. Some of the demos the band sent out four years before appear on the album. The band have noted on their MySpace page that they are working on a second album.

The name "Marianas Trench" came from the Mariana Trench, the deepest known point in the world. The band has been known to create stories of how they decided on it in interviews.

The band consists of former high school band members Josh Ramsay and Matt Webb along with Mike Ayley and Ian Casselman, who joined later. before this band was known as Marianas trench Matt and Josh were in another band called Ramsay Fiction, but it didn't hit the top of the charts like Marianas Trench's "Shake Tramp" in 2007. Josh grew up in a musical environment because his parents owned a recording studio in Vancouver, so when he was young, big bands like AC/DC would go there to record.
