Archduchess Maria Teresa of Austria-Este (Milan, November 1, 1773 - Turin, March 29, 1832) was Queen consort of Piedmont-Sardinia.
She was a daughter of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria-Este, governor of Lombardy and son of Empress Maria Theresa of Austria after whom she was named. Her mother was Maria Beatrice Ricciarda d'Este, heir to the Duchy of Modena.
Maria Theresa married on April 25, 1789 at the age of 15 with the 30-year-old Victor Emmanuel I of Sardinia. The marriage was a happy one.
They had 6 daughters and one son, who died young:
- Maria Beatrice Victoria (1792–1840), married her mother's brother Francis IV, Archduke of Austria and Duke of Modena
- Maria Adelaide (1794-1795)

After the abdication of Charles Emmanuel IV of Sardinia in 1802, Maria Teresa became Queen Consort, but she had to wait on the island of Sardinia for the end of the war in 1814 to return to the capital Turin.
After the outbreak of a liberal revolution in 1821, her husband Victor Emmanuel abdicated in favor of his brother, Charles Felix and died in 1824.
Maria Teresa survived her husband for eight years and was buried in the Basilica of Superga.
