Maria Rita De Fraia (born in 1953 in Castelvetere sul Calore) is an Italian painter.
After she graduated in medicine and in surgery, she taught herself to paint.
She is an honorary member of Accademia "Alfonso Grassi" of Salerno, dame commendatore imposing of Grace of ordine di S. Giovanni of Jerusalem, Member of Accademia Alternativa of Milan, Academic Correspondent of Verbano, Accademica di classe of Accademia Internazionale dei Micenei and finally Socia del Centro d'Arte e Cultura "La Tavolozza" of Sanremo.
She has won such prizes as the Premio Internazionale "Città di Avellino" ,Premio Internazionale "Città di Pomigliano d'Arco" and the Premio seconda Biennale "Mare di Roma".
