Maria Nafpliotou

Maria Nafpliotou (born in 1969) is a Greek actress. Her filmography includes roles in 10, To, Dying in Athens, Soul Kicking and Chariton's Choir.[1] In 2006 her role in Chariton's Choir won her Best Actress at the Alexandria International Film Festival.
Maria Nafpliotou, playing an ancient Greek high priestess, lit the Olympic torch for the 2008 Beijing Olympics using the sun's rays, starting the 2008 Summer Olympics torch relayā€ˇ. [2]
